Comparison of fatty liver disease development in overweight, obese and normal weight children

Introduction: Prevalence of obesity can predispose children to development fatty liver disease which, given the asymptomatic nature this disease, may turn into cirrhosis at end adolescence if it is not treated. Objectives: This study aimed compare overweight and obese with normal weight ones in terms prevalence disease. Patients Methods: cross-sectional was conducted from 2019 2020. A total 952 6-18 years age group admitted Children medical training center (Tabriz University Medical Sciences) were enrolled using multistage cluster random sampling. The participants included 408 weight, 314 overweight, 230 children. Chi-square ANOVA tests performed demographic information, anthropometric indices, ultrasound results members three groups. P value less than 0.05 considered significant. Results: rate all 16.91%, whereas that 29.59%. suggested increasing Conclusion: Overweight led liver.
